Let’s Celebrate ena mori's Birthday in Style in Harajuku-Themed “Ena Matsuri” Gig!

MANILA, September 13, 2023 — Get ready to dive into a vibrant world of music, art, and creativity as we celebrate the birthday of the Offshore Music artist, ena mori with the much-anticipated Ena Matsuri birthday gig event.

This Harajuku-themed extravaganza promises to be an amazing experience, filled with electrifying performances, talented artists, and an immersive atmosphere that will transport you straight into the heart of contemporary culture.

Ena Matsuri will take place on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 123 Block in Mandala Park, Mandaluyong, and it's an event you won't want to miss. The line-up for the evening is nothing short of sensational, featuring an array of talented artists who will set the stage on fire. The stellar line-up includes Kamikazee, Dilaw, ONE CLICK STRAIGHT, Pedicab, kiyo, and a special DJ Set by Ean Mayor to set the mood of the entire show.

This event is more than just a birthday celebration; it's a dynamic and vibrant showcase of the youth and young adult culture, bringing together music lovers, art enthusiasts, and those seeking a unique and cutting-edge experience. Ena Matsuri is designed to captivate the hearts of the next generation, providing a platform for emerging artists to express their creativity and connect with a dedicated fan base.

Elaborating the said theme, ena mori shares, “It’s not Harajuku-themed in a sense with music. I grew up in Japan, and Harajuku fashion was a big part of my style growing up, so it’s very nostalgic to me. Harajuku fashion is all about being bold despite the chaos, proud of the person underneath the clothing, and I thought it's perfect to have a place where we can celebrate people who’ll wear whatever they want to, as much (or as little) clothing as they want to.”

They also decided to add an OOTD contest for this birthday gig. Regarding that, the young singer-songwriter adds, “Throughout the gig scene and when I meet fans, I noticed that many of them are very well dressed. I take inspiration from their outfits as well. I thought it would be fun to dress up with friends and fans. Kind of a 'WHY NOT?' thing, hehe.”

Ena Mori’s record label Offshore Music along with event co-organizer and presenter, KNYA Collective believe that Ena Matsuri is more than just a birthday gig; it's a celebration of creativity, diversity, and the power of artistic expression. The presenters, along with ena, wanted to create an event that not only celebrates her birthday but also fosters artistic growth and showcases the incredible talent in our thriving local music scene.

From covering and documenting live events to curating gigs for various artists, KNYA, which was composed of passionate creatives in the music scene just knows how to play the game right.

With Ena Matsuri just around the corner, we had the opportunity to sit down with the creative genius herself, ena mori, to get the inside scoop on how this thrilling birthday gig came to life and what fans can expect on the big night. Moreover, her album DON’T BLAME THE WILD ONE! just turned a year-old last month so she also gave her insights about it.

Q: How do you plan to connect with your fans and listeners during this awesome birthday gig? Share your preparations for this big show.

ena mori: I think the most important thing for an artist to connect with an audience is to be vulnerable first, and I always make sure to be honest and raw when I perform. Each and everyone have a different story in their life, and if my story can remind them of theirs, and mirror back in some way, I am more than happy. We've put a lot of thought into creating an immersive experience that allows fans to feel closer to the music and the artists performing.

Q: Tell us more about your reimagined version of "VIVID."

ena mori: Rearranging a song is a private hobby of mine since I was little. I just find it interesting how the lyrics and the melody can be almost the same but when it is arranged symphonically differently, all of a sudden it taps into different emotions you had that were not possible in the original. "VIVID Reimagined" is something that I did privately for fun, and since I liked it, I decided to share it with people. It's a glimpse into the creative process and how music can evolve.

Q: What goals do you have for the future? Are there any particular milestones you're aiming to achieve?

ena mori: I’m very excited for the future shows and the upcoming artist residency in London. It is something that I have not done before, and I’m curious and excited to explore the opportunity. I’m also excited about the new materials that I am working on. The support from fans and the growth of my music have been incredible, and I hope to continue sharing my art with the world.

Q: You grew a year older, and your album also turned one. Indeed, it’s been a year. Any realizations and reflections to share since your release last 2022?

ena mori: In one year, so much has happened, and I’m just really grateful to be able to do what I love every day. It really keeps me going when people come up to me and tell me that they feel something in my songs. Truly grateful.
