Manila, Philippines — Men I Trust returned to Manila on February 1, 2026, delivering a set that felt both effortless and deeply intentional — the kind of show that rewards longtime listeners.

The local alt-rock band Fitterkarma opened the night, kickstarting the audience’s energy with their hits and chart toppers, setting the atmosphere right before Men I Trust jumped on stage.

Opening with “To Ease You,” the Canadian indie trio immediately established the night’s tone: restrained, immersive, and sonically precise. The set flowed seamlessly through fan favorites such as “Come Back Down,” “Sugar,” and “Another Stone,” each track met with steady sing-alongs from a crowd that clearly came prepared.
There was no reliance on heavy production or elaborate staging. Instead, the band leaned into what they do best — clean instrumentation, subtle grooves, and Emma Proulx’s unmistakably calm, airy vocals anchoring the room. “Show Me How” drew one of the evening’s strongest responses, with the audience carrying the chorus in near unison. Meanwhile, “Seven” and “All Night” introduced a gentle lift in tempo, adding texture without disrupting the set’s steady pulse.

Newer material blended naturally alongside staples like “Serenade of Water” and “Oh Dove,” reinforcing the group’s consistent sonic identity. Between songs, interactions were minimal but sincere — brief thank-yous, quiet smiles, and smooth transitions that kept the focus squarely on the music.
By the end of the night, it was clear: Men I Trust doesn’t overwhelm — they immerse. And Manila, once again, met them exactly where they are.
