It’s a brand new Thursday and we are back on track showcasing a new set of talented artists in the music Huerizon. In this week’s spotlight, we have one of the promising bands that recently debuted this year discovered by Ebe Dancel. Let’s get to know 46 Hope St.

46 Hope St. is a band discovered and managed by Ebe Dancel under Widescope Entertainment, consists of three talented musicians Meds Rana on vocals and guitars, Ryan Gonzales on bass, and Aaron Dolleton on drums.

They released their first debut single entitled ‘Parisukat sa Bilog’ earlier this year. The song was composed by their band vocalist and guitarist, Meds Rana. According to Meds, he wrote this song about his past struggles of trying to fit in with the crowd. But then he, later on, realized the importance of embracing one’s uniqueness and rather focus on self-empowerment. The song is very catchy and got stuck in my head for weeks! A true head-bop I suppose.

Check out their single “Parisukat sa Bilog” on all streaming platforms. Here’s the official music video:

How 46 Hope St. was formed

Ryan, Meds, and Aaron met at a community church years prior to this pandemic. After finding themselves compatible with each other despite their diverse musical backgrounds, they formed a band. They initially thought of naming their band “Hope Street” thinking that they would write songs that could inspire others to not lose hope but then they found out that the name has already been taken by other bands. “46” was then added after discovering its numerology which represents self-determination and self-sufficiency.

46 Hope Street was also featured in one of our Huemood episodes where they talked about different kinds of music that greatly influenced them as a musician. Click here to listen to their Huemood episode.

Their first debut single is just a glimpse of what the band has to offer, and according to their most recent update on their official Facebook page, the band has more in store for us. I can’t wait for what the future holds for 46 Hope St.
