Another treat from one of Open Door Artists’ Fugu Musk, as they release their latest single “Halloween”.
Fugu Musk is an alternative rock band from Manila, Philippines. “Halloween” marks their first release since their debut EP, “Stay Awake” (2017). This single comes with a track previously unreleased to streaming services called “Early Morning”. This release serves as Fugu Musk’s way of bursting back into the music scene – with a vengeance.
“Halloween” is a celebration of the secret, darker sides of being human. Every day of the year, we all live behind images that we project so we can conform to whatever society needs us to be. We’re placed in boxes, locked behind doors, only allowing our polished and tame versions to come out. In the darkest corners of the room, in the spaces that never touch the light of day, there lies the voice whispering from the back of our minds, begging for recognition.
Every secret will eventually be revealed. Each part of us we try our best to hide will find a way out. Some say “the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t”; those are the parts of us that remain unrecognized. If you cage an animal long enough, it will learn to behave the way you want it to. That does not mean its desire for freedom is gone. It’s simply waiting for the right moment to come bursting out.
